Self-Guided Eco-Somatic Expressive Arts Walk
-
This all-ages self-guided walk is themed around Mutualism — the reciprocal relationships that keep ecosystems healthy.
Five signs placed along the first quarter mile of Redwood Trail guide you through simple, accessible activities designed to bring the theme of Mutualism to life.
You will breathe with the forest, then creatively move and respond to what you encounter along the way, such as a redwood reaching towards the sun, a flowing creek, or a moss-covered rock.
This self-guided exploration ends at a creekside grove, where drawing and poetry inspired by your movement explorations complete the experience.
This walk is created in the lineage of the Tamalpa Institute and Anna Halprin.
What to bring: A pen or pencil, a journal with open space for drawing and writing, and art supplies such as Cray-Pas.
