Art in Parks: A Creative Success!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Inspired by the Land: Art in Parks! Our first year was a huge success, transforming Bothe-Napa Valley State Park into a lively outdoor art fair filled with local makers, hands-on workshops, and guided activities. We loved seeing so many visitors explore the park in a new way — through art, creativity, and community.

Harvest Dinner Tickets & Tables on Sale Now!

Mark your calendars for our beloved Harvest Dinner and Auction at Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park. Enjoy an evening beside the 179-year-old mill and its massive wooden water wheel, set under the autumn night sky. This special gathering brings together nature lovers and community supporters for live music, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, a delicious dinner, and a lively auction — all in support of Napa Valley’s State Parks.

Hidden Gems of Napa Valley — Now Streaming!

If you missed it on PBS, Hidden Gems of Napa Valley — featuring the Bale Grist Mill— will be available on streaming services starting July 1. Catch it on YouTube TV, Apple TV+, and Amazon Prime Video!

July Campfire Programs

Join us Saturday nights throughout July for fun activities at the day-use amphitheater! The series kicks off July 5th with karaoke, followed by movie screenings, open mic nights, trivia, and more each Saturday from 6:30–9:30 PM. Free for campers and NVSPA members; $10 vehicle fee applies for the general public.

Wellness Day

Breathe deeply, move freely, and reconnect with nature at Wellness Day, a celebration of health and well-being at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park on Saturday, July 12th from 9 AM - 1 PM.

Schedule:

7:30 AM - Trail Run
9:00 AM - Eco Fitness Hike
10:00 AM - Nature Hike
10.30 AM - Yoga in the Forest
11:30 AM - Meditate in Nature
12:00 PM - Aqua Aerobics

Main Event Area:
Visit our main event area to find a variety of wellness booths offering free health screenings, chair massages, and other relaxing services.

Refuel and treat yourself with delicious eats from local food vendors, including Ray Ray’s Tacos and Roman Holiday Gelato.

Movement Zone:
Join us in the Movement Zone for a variety of fun, active experiences! Our 15-minute classes and friendly competitions are designed for all ages to play, explore, and stay active.

11:30 AM – Resistance Tubing Class
11:45 AM – Push-Up Competition

Plus, have fun with drop-in games like: three-legged race, sack race, and egg-on-a-spoon race.

Ever wanted to try fencing? Stop by for live demonstrations and a chance to pick up a foil and give it a go — no experience needed!

Whether you come to sweat, stretch, play, or simply soak in the natural beauty, Wellness Day is your invitation to reconnect—with yourself, your neighbors, and the land.

July 12, 2025

Eco-Fitness Hike

Love fitness and the outdoors? Join instructor Kerry Brackett for a one-hour hike and workout through beautiful Bothe-Napa Valley State Park. Held every second Saturday at 9 a.m., this class combines hiking, full-body exercises, and stretching among the redwoods. Free for NVSPA members; $10 day-use fee for non-members.

JULY 12, 2025

Wellness Day

Take time to recharge at our Wellness Day, a celebration of movement, mindfulness, and nature connection. Enjoy guided hikes, yoga sessions, aqua aerobics, and wellness workshops designed to nurture both body and mind. We’ll also have a mobile health clinic on site, community wellness booths, and healthy food options to round out your day of self-care.

JULY 14-17, 2025

Summer Camp

Camp Calypso is a fun day camp with a one-night campout at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park for kids ages 8–12. This outdoor adventure is packed with nature hikes, swimming, crafts, and games—the perfect way to create summer memories!

JULY 19, 2025

3rd Saturday Hike

Join NOSD’s 3rd Saturday Hike at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park for an Eco-Somatic expressive arts session with Dr. Rhea Komarek, DC, RSME/T. You'll move, draw, and write using prompts crafted for beginners in somatic expressive arts. This experience involves a 2-mile out-and-back walk along Ritchey Creek. Bring a journal, pen, and drawing supplies.

Napa StoryWalk® — Read & Explore!

Join us for our fourth annual Napa StoryWalk® — an outdoor reading adventure for families! From August 9–17, stroll through Bothe-Napa Valley State Park and discover pages from My Colors, My World by Maya Christina Gonzalez along the trail. It’s a fun way to enjoy nature and reading together this summer!
